DID YOU KNOW? The pupil of your eye expands upto 45% when you look at someone you love.

Falling in love is one of the most beautiful feelings. Isn't it? According to a study, the eyes of the individual in love depict it all when he/she in love. The romantic depiction of the eyes as 'windows to the soul'  is not just another poetic expression to inspire the ones in love;  it is true, indeed. When you see the person you are in love with, your pupil dilate.
Our pupils naturally dilate throughout the day. The main reason for this is to control the amount of light that enters the lens; allowing us to focus on objects. The muscles in the iris (the colored part of the eye) control pupil size. Pupils get bigger and smaller depending on the amount of light around them.
Autonomous nervous system is responsible for the dilation and constriction of the pupils; the same system is responsible for goose bumps as well as heart rates. When you look at the sun, you are unable to bear its rays and hence you are never able to stare at it. However, that's not the only thing that your eyes react to, when we experience a physiological response to emotions such as fear or in this case attraction,it causes our pupils to dilate.
Dopamine, the happy hormone is a powerful neurotransmitters which is regulated within the nervous system and associated with feelings of pleasure. The chemical release of dopamine actually causes the pupils to dilate.
Dopamine levels peak when you are expecting something good. We're talking about when you are about tp eat your favorite slice of cake; when spend time with someone you love or, in some cases, during an addiction.
With the matters of the heart, the old belief that pupils enlarge when we look at someone we are physically attracted to, can indeed be backed up-which could be where the phrase - 'easy on the eye' derives from.

Chocolate discharges the same chemical into your body that is produced when you start falling in love.
When you eat chocolate, it releases several neurotransmitters in your brain that have a positive effect on human feelings.
One of the main neurotransmitters released is phenylethylamine, which causes alertness, excitement, quickens the pulse rate and makes you happy!
It is often referred to as 'THE LOVE DRUG' because it arouses feelings similar to those that occur when someone in love.

A hug longer than 20 seconds will release chemicals into your body that make you trust the person you're hugging.
Through the release of oxytocin chemical in the body, the brain knows that everything is safe and that there is no need to worry.

Research has found that good relationships are more important to a long life, than exercise.
University of North Carolina at chapel hill researchers found that the size and quality of a person's social ties affect specific health measures, such as abdominal obesity and hypertension at different points in their lives.

▶ Falling in love has a similar neurological effect as getting high on cocaine.
Falling in love affects intellectual areas of the brain and triggers the same sensation of excitement experienced by people when they intake cocaine.

When you hold the hands of loved one, you feel pain less keenly and worry less.
Pain can be modulated by touch. The move creates a connection between brains that can be measurably reduce physical pain being endured by one of the parties.

Being with happy people makes you happier.
This amazing psychology fact should come as no suprise.

Doing things that scare you, will make you happier.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, " I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along".You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Don't believe the multi tasking hype scientists say, surprising psychology fact isn't it?
New research shows that we humans aren't good as we think we are at doing several things at once. But it also highlights a human skill that gave us an evolutionary edge.

▶ People who try to keep everyone happy often end up feeling loneliest.
Their happiness is making others smile. But in return people don't care enough and they feel alone.

The happier we are, less sleep we require.
Our natural emotional state changes how much sleep we need. When you're happy you don't need as much restoration because you didn't experience as much stress that you need to recover from. Our emotions are indicators that tell us how much stress our mind and body are experiencing.

Your brain does more creative work when you're tired.
If you're trying to do creative work, you'll actually have more luck when you're more tired and your brain isn't functioning as efficiently.
This sounds crazy, but it actually makes sense when you look at the reasoning behind it.
It's one of the reasons why great ideas often happen in the shower after a long day at work.

The brain treats rejection like physical pain.
We all know that rejection hurts, but neuroscience has concluded that it does in fact, literally, hurt.
While the brain does not process emotional pain and physical pain identically, the reaction and cascading events are very similar, and the same natural chemical is released during both events.

People who have a strong sense of guilt are better at understanding other people's thoughts and feelings.

▶ People with low self-esteem tend to try and humiliate others.
So they can bring them down to their level, so that they feel the same pain. They don't like seeing some people living a happy life, it makes them angry and annoyed by the fact that some people cannot understand the feelings they feel.

Smart people underestimate themselves and ignorant people think they're brilliant.
It is called the DUNNING KRUGER EFFECT, where the highly skilled assume that things they find easy are also easy for others. And the unskilled are so incompetent that they can't recognize their own stupidity.

When you remember a past event, you are remembering the last time you remembered it.
Alright, this is one of those amazing psychology fact that blew the hell out of my mind.
This is why our memories fade and distort over time.

Our emotions don't affect the way we communicate.
In fact, the very opposite is true: the way we communicate has an influence on our mood.

Human behavioural studies suggest that a person who loses their cell phone, experiences a panic similar to a near death experience.

▶ People who speak two languages may unconsciously shift their personalities when they switch from one language to another.

The very last person on your mind before you fall sleep is either the reason for your happiness or pain.

We human beings, have the power to remember much of what happens in our life with the people we meet. But we also have the power of prioritizing and discard memories sub-consciously. We remember the moments which have had a significant impact on our life and forget those which haven't affects as much.
After a busy day, with many instances stored in your mind, you turn off the lights and get under the sheets, letting your head sink into your pillow and your eyes close in darkness. WHAT COMES TO YOUR MIND? Thoughts of a person pop up outstanding any other memory, the person who created many pages in your life, made you smile, gave memories to cherish, made your life meaningful and perhaps hurt you too at the same time.
People who are associated with happiness and pain in our life can never step out of our memories easily. It is not the memory that make us feel happy or sad, but the person behind it. Not every person you meet can make you happy or cause you pain. There is one person who can awake both feelings, a person who can give you happiness and also cause you enormous pain. Truth is,you hate that person with love. You will give that person many exceptions related to your likes and dislikes.
It is when you go to sleep at night and close your eyes, that you open the doors to your heart; a connection establishes and paves the way to your world. There is only one in it and that person is the reason for your happiness or pain, and only that person is capable of nullifying the distance between happiness and pain in your life.

Fun fact

"PEOPLE ARE MORE GENERALLY HONEST, WHEN THEY ARE PHYSICALLY TIRED"
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE CONFESS THINGS DURING LATE NIGHT CONVERSATION.
We are affected emotionally and physically by the movement of the sun and moon. The rise and the fall of the sun reflects in your psychological,as well as emotional behaviours. During the daylight,we are more active, and at night we become more relaxed and receptive. When the sun goes down, that is the time when your body rests, your mind is at ease ,and all the thoughts and emotions that might have felt jumbled up during the day become clear, making them a whole lot easier to express.
