The way in which we snooze is something that we do while we are unconscious, making it a honest expression of our innermost selves.
Your sleeping position can even benefit your life beyond the bed.
What type of sleepers are you?
1. SIDE SLEEPER
➡ log roller position
The sleeper rests on their side, legs extended straight and arms in place. This is the most popular position for any sleeper.
You might think that sleep with this style is boring and super stiff, but exact opposite is actually true.
Log sleepers are typically social butterflies, friendly, carefree and extremely trusting, which can sometimes make them seem a little more gullible to outsiders.
This position keeps your neck and back in alignment, making it one of the best position for back pain and neck pain. To help ease any discomfort, you can also use a pillow or blanket between your knees.
➡ Yearner
Yearner sleep like similar to log sleep position, but their arms are stretched out in front of them and also sleeper snoozes on the side.
These folks tend to be open minded, slow and suspicious when decision making, but once their minds are set, they set on that path. Good and reliable friends.
2. BACK SLEEP
➡ soldier/ back track
Sleeps on their back, with their arms straight down at their side - like they are standing in attention. Studies say that only 8% of people sleep this way.
Soldiers are typically quiet, strong and focused people who don't like big fuss.
They have high expectations for themselves and others around them.
This is the best sleeping position out there, because it allows your back and neck to be in their alignment.
When you are lying back your throat is more narrow, making snoring louder and more frequent. This restricts the air ways and may also be a poor sleeping position for those suffering from sleep apnea.
➡ Star gazer
They lie on their backs with legs stretched out, arms stretched up beyond the head, looking like a starfish on land. This is the least popular sleep style by numbers. Truly unique.

They love to be supportive, tend to help friends when they are in problems.
3. STOMACH SLEEP
➡ sky diver
They sleep on their stomach, head on one side, with their arms wrapped around behind a pillow.
These sleepers have open, playful and fun personalities, they seem to be spirited, but skydiver sleepers can be secretly anxious and crave control of situations, and they tend to be risk takers.
This position greatly increase the risk of neck and back pain, because it crunches the sensitive muscles that protect that area, while flattening the spine nerve causing strain that may lead to back pain and air blockage.
➡ Foetal / baby position
The person sleep on their side with their legs curled up underneath them. The most common of them all, 41% of all sleepers adopt this position.
Baby position sleepers have a tough exterior that hides a shy and sensitive nature inside.
They tend to be quite personable, even if they come off as shy upon first meeting.
Sleeping in the foetal position causes least amount of sleep disturbance.
Best position for aligning the spine as well as one of the best sleeping position for back pain.
